Beach Bungalow Time
Like I said the other day, our patio kind of drops off in the back, so anyone sitting in that chair will kinda fall off the edge with the back legs of the chair, and that’s not good. So last night (right after I wrote my last post) I got to work putting a few more stepping stones back there. They’re not pretty, but they do the job, and that’s what matters most.
Before, the back legs of the chair had the potential to fall off the back edge of the patio:

Now there is another 8 or so inches buffer (don’t mind the dirt and fig stains):

Yay! Problem solved!
I am feeling super productive since we got back from vacation. It’s amazing what 10 days of no responsibility will do to your motivation. I recommend that everyone take a vacation. Even if you don’t have money in your budget, make sure you take a staycation and give yourself a break from any responsibilities (even cleaning your house!). Just take time off work. Life is not all about work, it’s about living, so go have some new and fresh experiences so you can rejuvenate your body, mind, and soul, and come back motivated and ready for action.
With my new-found motivation, I’m finishing all sorts of things. Now I’m off to making a curtain for our bathroom window. I’ll come back later today with a post on that with the before and after.

This looks great! I like the added depth to the tiles that the patio set are sitting on top of. Glad you have all sorts of motivation — send some my way!

Thanks Maria! Believe me, if I could give this motivation to people I would. As it turns out, I might be doing a bit too much… today I could not get out of bed and I am so tired and my neck hurts very badly… It’s probably just soreness from using muscles in a way I typically don’t. Should be better by tomorrow or the next day…
