Destroying a Tile Patio Is So Fun

If you need to be updated: Here is a link to previous posts about the Front Yard.

Once we got most of the yard done, Kyle got started on the front patio because we did not like it.

This was a lot of hard work, and it was really hot. It took about 2 days (a few hours each day to complete), and if I remember correctly, Kyle did all the breaking by himself.

It was kinda crazy because there wasn’t much underneath the patio. There was actually air below the tiles before the dirt as it got closer to the house.

Kyle’s parents were nice enough to come down and help us load their truck with the rubble and they put it in their dumpster.

Next we had to get more fill dirt to fill the area, then concrete/cement the entire area. Then we lay the new bricks over the whole area so it’s all one level. Stay tuned!

How about you? What have you been up to? How’s the weather in your area? Is it cooling off enough for you to do some yard work?

That’s one way to get all your frustrations out!! Our weather is starting to warm up here in Australia, so we are looking at getting the painting finished off in the rest of the house! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

Tonight we actually have some fog and misty air. I can finally feel autumn coming (the cooler weather has come much later here this year!)

Good luck with your painting Vicki 🙂

It is really hard work but at the same time you’ll have your own work out exercises. This inspires me to do some changes on our patio. We also didn’t like the look of the tiles we might replace it soon. I will be looking forward to your final result!:)
