Instant Push-Button Software for Bathroom Layouts

If you want to learn how to resize and rearrange windows, vanities, and showers with ease, you’ve come to the right place. Just purchase our push button software, download to your ipod, point and shoot! Easy as 1-2-3. No work required!

Rearraning a bathroom is a lot of work because you pretty much have to take everything down to the studs (and even remove some studs). Luckily Kyle and I are “Studs” (can a girl be a stud? oh well), so we were able to accomplish this task.

Today we’re doing a few cool things, all which require the rearrangement of bathroom “fixtures”. We have some really awesome cheesy captions for you within the photos, so take note of everything that’s going on.

First we had to tackle more of the drywall to make room for the shower extension.

Here’s me getting all dazzled up for the job:

Then Kyle took out the window:

Now here’s an explanation of things:

Here you can see how Kyle made a little window frame within the larger old window frame for the new little window:

Window’s up! We used our push-button software to make that magically occur!Β Kyle’s putting up some exterior on the house to close off the old big window area:

And an explanation of things that will happen:

Now while Kyle was doing all that window stuff, I was moving the light switch and outlet. I kind of became the electrician in our relationship because it was something I could do easily:

I didn’t cut the drywall all perfect, but we’re still going to be smoothing these walls with joint compound, so we can fix the flaws with that. Also, besides safety reasons, that’s part of the reason for outlet covers (to hide mistakes):

And I moved the lightswitch by the opening of the door, instead of being behind the door when you open it. But Kyle had to be the one to go into the attic (mainly due to my fear of spiders) to move some wires around (and add some wires for the shower lighting we were going to install) and then he threaded it down to me. The area by the door here didn’t have drywall because the bathtub used to be on this side of the bathroom, so not having drywall here made that easier. We later put up some drywall and this is a picture from the “future” because we’re cool like that, and we can arrange that sort of thing:

Can anyone say, “Dimmers”? Yeah, I thought it would be awesome to be able to take nice and relaxing showers in dimmed lighting because bright lights are not relaxing to me at all. So we got dimmer light switches. One for the vanity lighting and one for the new shower lighting (which didn’t exist before).

Tomorrow is a question and answer session with a comment from Ashley, a 1house1couple regular, who blogs at You will get to know us a bit more as we dig down deep.

Monday, we take a break from home renovation stuff and we go to the desert with some quads. This is the first time I ever rode a quad before, so come and see my novice skills! πŸ˜‰ here to leave a comment!

Hi Ashley, I’m going to go ahead and answer your questions in tomorrow’s blog post because I wrote it all out here and realized it’s very extensive because I like to babble πŸ˜‰ ~Lisha

  3. Andy has put dimmers everywhere in our house. I have TERRIBLE eyes so bright light is the only thing that enables me to see, so the dimmers drive me crazy. But I see how you could enjoy a nice shower in the dim light!

  5. Wow, great job. That is a lot of work!Sorry you had to get a smaller window.

    • Lisha says:

Hi Linda, yeah, we would have preferred to keep a larger window for more natural light, but the smaller window ended up working perfectly (it is a small bathroom). ~Lisha

Good job! You put so much work just into this one room! It must have been bittersweet to eventually sell.

    • Lisha says:

Thanks for coming over 1914house. I’ve seen your blog too and I like it ( Yes, it was bittersweet to sell, but we have our sights set on a new ugly house to remodel and resell (we don’t know what house it is yet, but it’s out there and we’re ready!) ~Lisha
